WRESTLING CARDS
Each wrestler, official, or coach participating in practice and competition with our club must be registered as a member of USA Wrestling and CWC.  No wrestler or club coach, including parents, will be allowed on the mat at practice or any club sponsored activity unless registered. Sign up information page is on the left.

Club Information
The Chugach Wrestling Club is strictly a volunteer organization.  Volunteers are needed as coaches, referees, score keepers, helping with our tournament, cleaning mats, etc.  Pick a job or two and join in the fun. Our club has a long history of excellent participation from our volunteers. We all look forward to a great 2008 wrestling season.

UNIFORMS
AUSAW requires that competitors weigh in wearing their COMPETITION singlet. Singlets and wrestling shoes are required for all wrestlers during tournaments.  Headgear is also strongly recommended in practice as well as tournaments. Team singlets are recommended but not required and will be available in February.

T-shirt, shorts and wrestling shoes are fine for practice.

SCHOLASTICS
School is more important than wrestling. Most wrestling scholarships are partial scholarship ($5000 or less). Comparatively, it is much easier and much more likely to get academic scholarship than an athletic scholarship. Olympic wrestlers earn barely enough money to train. No wrestler should be spending valuable time at practice and tournaments if they are unable to maintain at least a C average. That said- wrestling is far more valuable than sitting in front of a television- so if you are having trouble with your grades throw out the tv and video games first.
